Patrick Plank's law practice has always focused on estate planning. After practicing seven years with other estate planning law firms, he started his own firm to offer clients thorough estate planning at a reasonable price. In 1988, Mr. Plank graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and in 1993, he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming.
A member of the Arapahoe County and Colorado Bar Associations, he is also a Council Member for the Trust and Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association, a member of the Statutory Revisions Committee, and a member of the Colorado Estate Planning Forms Committee.
Mike has practiced law in Colorado for 41 years. He returned to private practice in 2024 after twelve years with the Fire and Police Pension Association of Colorado (FPPA) Benefits Counsel. Previously, he practiced in the areas of estate planning and administration for 25 years, advising clients on wills, trusts, guardianships and conservatorships, and probate issues. Mike is ready to incorporate sound estate planning as part of people’s financial planning for the future. At FPPA he advised the association's benefits department on estate administration and retirement issues, and tax issues. He has represented clients in court and at administrative hearings. Mike served as a hearing officer for FPPA and the Denver Employees' Retirement Plan during his previous years in private practice. His legal experience includes workers' compensation and commercial litigation. Mike served as a City Council Member in Centennial, Colorado, for eight years, and currently serves as a Board Member and Chair of the Legislative Action Committee for the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce.
Mike graduated with Honors from the University of Denver with a B.S.B.A. in Management, and he earned his J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law. He is licensed to practice before the Colorado state and federal courts and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Lauren was born and raised in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She graduated summa cum laude from ThunderRidge High School and summa cum laude from Metropolitan State University of Denver where she was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society. She has worked for Mr. Plank since 2016 and handles estate planning and deed work in addition to assisting with probate.
